I'm updating my review, like I said I've been a long time customer of Fernando; and he made everything right. Like every business if an employee doesn't follow the rules it always makes a bad outcome for the customer. However, Fernando and I had a long talk which he explained everything and how much he values me as a long time customer. Which really made me feel good, and he fixed the situation. YES, I'm coming back because I will never find a better mechanic than Fernando. Employees, please follow the leader rules and all customer will be satisfied. I've been going to Fernando for years, also brought him business. But, he got me, took my car last June A/C issues couldn't find charged me and I said I'll come back when he had time to look for the leak. Came back last September, he said he found it BUT that wasn't true. He only recharged the system because now it's out again. If he fixed it, it shouldn't be out. Everyone watch out he'll get you trusting him and soon he'll get you too, if he hasn't already. I have my receipts going to another shop then reporting to BBB. And I'll make sure I tell everyone I brought to the shop. Be careful especially the women.

I was on my way to Meineke when i drove by this place, checked the reviews quickly and made a u turn. and i am so glad I did. Fernando is patient and actually listens (which is huge when you're a female that is used to mechanics completely tuning you out) He fixed an issue (loud noise) that TWO other mechanics (one being Meineke) had refused to even look into (claiming it was an advanced transmission issue) it was a clip on my air filter that the last mechanic had failed to properly clip on. Fernando listened to me, drove the car with me and found the culprit in 5 minutes after 6 months of this noise and trying to find a mechanic to look into it. And he fixed it for free(which included putting car on lift to get the clip from bottom of cover).

They was supposed to fix a oxygen sensor and car was still running to he same when I picked it up. They say they couldn't fix but took my money. Please don't let these people fix your car. They are not honest people. They kei my money asked them for some of my money back. They didn't give it back crook's.

My Car ran hot and I took it to a mechanic who stated I needed a new radiator and also could of blew the head gasket in my Engine. He would not work on the car, stating I needed someone to test the Engine. I asked people I trusted in the community for a HONEST mechanic who was TRUSTWORTHY AND HAD INTEGRITY. Fernando at Independent Tire & Auto Service was brought to my attention by a trusted friend. I took my Car there, Fernando was honest with me. He fixed my radiator, tested my engine and thankfully that was all I needed. His price was reasonable and I had my car back in two days! He is Honest. He does Great work! Prices are Fair!

Jose has been working on my car as well as my wife car as well as other family members vehicles as well. Jose and the guys at his shop has provided us all great customer service. I believe some of the best service in town. I truly believe that Jose is one of the most honest individuals that I know. Most shops will do work on your car and know that it wasn't needed but Jose will let you know that the problem you thought you where having is not the issue. Hands down Independent auto provide excellent service!!

Awesome shop, had a vibration due to tire cupping on the front tires of my 2005 Dodge Ram, the rotated my front tires to the rear and put the rear on the front for me within an hours time, got me right in and back on the road to continue my trip from North Carolina to Florida!! 5 stars from me, these guys are awesome and fast!!!

You ask em' what you need, they get it done and when there's complications they tell you exactly what's going on, what they suggest, and give you options. All the repairs and inspections I've gotten there were reasonably priced too.

I have 3 older cars and have been coming to this shop for 8 years.fernando is the most honest man I have ever met! Auto zone tested my car and said I needed a new alternator. So I took it to Fernando and told him to put it in. He called me later told me the car was ready and I owed nothing! He said he checked the car and would have loved to make the money but the car didn't need that just had some wires loose. I check prices with many places and an honest reliable mechanic with itegrity are few and far between! I love you guys you have saved me hundreds of dollors god will bless your shop for your honesty!

In 2015, I found them when I was on the bus (because of car issues) on the way to my law school class. I took my car to their shop and they were super honest. They never tried to overcharge me or make something up about my car. And they're really knowledgeable. A stand up company. I've recommended all of my classmates and collegeague. Took my car there. Took about 3 months for them to figure out and repair because my car is 1998 used and wires were all messed up. But they cut back on the labor cost and gave me a really fair price I could afford. No mechanic is 100% perfect, but these guys are good. I trust their judgement. I'm having another problem so yes I'm going back to them.
